Day 1 Ballina

Day 2 Byron Bay

Start the day with a route and tour briefing, equipment fitting. Begin half day moderate ride followed by afternoon activities of your choice.

A picturesque ride with outstanding vantage points along the way for viewing a diverse range of marine life, including turtles, dolphins and the humpback whales on their annual migration. You will arrive into alternative Lifestyle Township of Byron. Feel the white sandy beaches, blue water and cruisy vibes. Cape Byron Lighthouse stands on the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. A spectacular cliff top walking track offers panoramic views of the ocean and north coast hinterland.

Day 3 Brunswick

A Full day ride through nestled hinterland villages, some rolling hilly sections, coastal views and rewarding descents. Finish the day at a pretty river setting, which provides a commercial fishing boat harbor, fine seafood and beautiful beaches. Simple pleasures!

Day 4 Kingscliff

A real cruisers ride, along beach tracks and easy going coastal sections. A perfect way to feel the sea breeze and enjoy the journey to Kingscliff as trendy beach front coffee shops invite you in along the way. Views to the famous Mount Warning , surrounded by the vast World Heritage listed central eastern rainforests of Australia . Enjoy!

Day 5 Tweed heads/Coolangatta

Crossing the Tweed River , towards Tweed Heads ( New South Wales ) and Coolangatta ( Queensland ) you reach the state border. Beautiful beaches and the home of the Aussie lifesaver the area has become a world wide holiday destination. Here we say goodbye, connect flights at Gold coast Airport to your next destination!

The 5 Day Coastal Cycle Tour is also available as Southbound option. Starting the tour in Tweed heads/Coolangatta and finishing in Ballina.

How to get here: Fly from most capital cities in Australia into Byron Gateway (Ballina) Airport and fly out of Goldcoast Coolangatta Airport or reverse. Air Services from QANTAS, Jetstar , Virgin Blue and Freedom Air. Accommodation: 5 nights accommodation (twin share) Equipment: High quality bicycle, pannier bags, repair and first aid kits, tools, spares, safety helmet, water bottles. Itinerary: including maps, places of interest, pre-booked accommodation Luggage: Luggage forwarded to midway stop and end destination. Route Rating: easy - moderate (mostly flat-some hills) Options: Add a relax day at Byron Bay or be active - try a Rainforest Mountain Biking session or an ocean based activity. By night the town comes alive with live bands, street musicians and clubs, not to mention the eateries from gourmet restaurants to relaxed dining. The beer garden overlooking Main Beach is the perfect spot to have an afternoon ale or to take in the spectacular ocean views.
